Here are the Notable Features of the Summer Infant 3D Lite Stroller
1. Very Easy to Carry at Just 13 lbs!
As your baby grow bigger and heavier, this stroller promises to stay light at 13 lbs. Attached onto the stroller is a carry strap to make sure that bringing this around won’t be burdensome.
2. Can Be Used By Your Child Until 8 Years Old
Babies who are strong enough to hold their heads up can start riding the Summer Infant 3D Lite stroller and can enjoy it until they are 50-lbs heavy. In child age that is around 7-8 years old according to the Center for Disease Control (US). That is a long time to use a stroller. That is why this is the most preferred umbrella stroller online. Even some high-end strollers do not have that high weight capacity.
3. Comfortable Even For Napping
Are you raising a future Miss Universe or NBA star? Your tall kid can sit comfortably on this stroller. It has a spacious 12 inch-wide seat and a 28-inch high canopy.
Your growing baby needs some quality sleep. Sleeping will be comfortable in this stroller because of its multi-level position recline that can be lowered to about 140-degrees. Reclining it is a bit different from other strollers that use an adjustment strap. For this one, you will have to squeeze the red levers on both sides with both of your hands to adjust the recline positions. If you want to put it back to its previous position, just push the back rest forward and it will snap right in place.
4. Easy to Push
It has 2 riveted rubber handles that make it easy to hold. Pushing it is easy because of its big 6-inch wheels. Bigger wheels drives better and the Summer Infant 3D Lite absolutely did not disappoint.
The front wheels can make 360-degree swivels making it nimble and sensitive to every steer. This feature works great on even and smooth surfaces. But for rough pavements, you may lock the front wheels to keep it from swiveling.
The rear wheels are built with suspensions to absorb vibrations when strolling over bumpy roads and grassy patches. That means the Summer Infant 3D Lite is adaptable to all kinds of terrains.
The handles are also positioned quite high at 41-42 inches from the ground. Taller people won’t have to slouch to drive this amazing set of wheels.
5. Safety Harness has a Buckle Cover
Keep your baby secure with this stroller’s 5-point harness. It has a center lock and release button that is very intuitive to use.
What’s cool about this design is it has a buckle cover that is intended to make your child forget about the button so he or she won’t even think about unbuckling it herself. As they say, out of sight, out of mind. That’s a very good idea.
6. Other Cool Features
- It comes with a storage bag which is located at the back for keeping valuables safe.
- The removable cup holder is also a nice touch. You can attach it by the side of the handle to free your hands from holding a bottle while driving or you can also move it right next to your child to hold his bottle.
- The underneath storage basket can hold up to 10 lbs which quite normal with most umbrella strollers. However, you won’t have access to it when the back rest is in recline position.

7. Easy on The Pocket
If that is not a good reason enough to make you stop and look. I don’t know what else will. The Summer Infant 3D Lite Stroller comes with all essential features without hurting your pocket. Check out price here.
Limitations and Disadvantages
1. It is Not Easy To Fold
You will have to use your right foot and your hand to fold the stroller. It starts by stepping on a lever on the side of the stroller to disengage the lock. Next, pull up the handle at the lower back of the stroller, after that, push the back rest forward all the way down. You will hear a snap that signals that it is already locked.
To unfold the Summer Infant 3D Lite, you have to push the front wheels down to the ground and then step on the lever at the back to fully unfold and lock the frames in place. Watch the demo below.
One more disadvantage to this stroller is it doesn’t stand on its own when it’s folded. So if you are a germophobe, you won’t like this idea.
2. It Takes Up Space
Although it is light, it takes up space and will usually not be allowed to be hand-carried inside airplane cabins. In that case, you might want to also buy a travel bag for checking in.
3. Canopy Without A Peek-a-Boo Window
The Summer Infant 3D Lite’s canopy is not big enough to protect your child’s face from the sun. It has 1 panel with a pop-up sunvisor but lacks the usual peek-a-boo window. You may want to buy a canopy extension online to provide more shade from the sun’s heat.
